Flying to the moon – Полёт на Луну – Viaggio sulla luna

An incredible animated Soviet movie from 1953.
Very ahead of its time, both visually and narratively.
Check out the monitor appearances, the main character’s black friend
and the very Hitchcockian sequence from 4.45 to 6.45
A theory of mine is that the best Japanese animation
(Rintaro and Hayao Miyazaki first names to stroll through my mind)
came out from this peculiar Soviet style I’d call it Retro-Futurism.
It was directed by the late great Brumberg sisters ,
